about

This is the first single of my debut album of the same name. This album is the product of about 2 years of work, and is my first venture as a singer/songwriter. Coming from a classical music/musical theatre background, writing music that was personal to me always felt uncomfortable and difficult, and never came out feeling genuine. This song is both about that, and coincidentally the song that helped me kick that.

lyrics

I’ve been seein’ stars with Angelina
Carey drifts me further out to sea
Haven’t left My Apartment in a month or two
But it’s the Same Old News every time I leave

My own self-sabotage has come Full Circle
You warned me just about 1000x
But the Best Part about Our Love is that it’s Easy and it rhymes

Where did I go wrong
I stole from all my favourite songs
And I’m no closer to an answer than I was
Stuck inside my head
This pent up word vomit that spreads
Across the page and I can’t stop it because

It’s like speaking in tongues to me
I thought my world would be
Easier to describe
Wrote a fridge magnet symphony
Clarity’s not my vibe

My Love Keeps me awake when when she’s still Sleeping
A Song on the Radio plays in me somehow
Intruders in my head, half dead half Solid
They’re Regulars inside my brain by now

The Road to Hell is paved with Pretty faces
It’s Simple Math that this is a New Low
I can’t Hold it Together I don’t know where to go

Where did I go wrong
I stole from all my favourite songs
And I’m no closer to an answer than I was
Stuck inside my head
This pent up word vomit that spreads
Across the page and I can’t stop it because

It’s like speaking in tongues to me
I thought my world would be
Easier to describe
Wrote a fridge magnet symphony
Clarity’s not my vibe

Where did I go wrong
I stole from all my favourite songs
And I’m no closer to an answer than I was
Stuck inside my head
This pent up word vomit that spreads
Across the page and I can’t stop it because

It’s like speaking in tongues to me
I thought my world would be
Easier to describe
Wrote a fridge magnet symphony
Clarity’s not my vibe
